Hi, UUMFE community!
We’re excited that so many of you signed up to attend our Community Read! Our next meeting is on Tuesday, October 28th, and we will continue to meet on the last Tuesday of every month for the next eight months. Below you will find a list of ways to feel prepared for our connection and discussion.
If you haven’t yet, please register to receive the Zoom link and sign up for our Community Read email list to ensure you receive meeting reminders and pre-work information. You will receive the Zoom link as soon as you register, so check your spam folder if you don’t see it.
Read or listen to:
- Section on “Replenish and Re-Green”
- “First, Nature”
- “A Vision”
- “Go Farm, Young People”
- “Give Us Back Our Bones”
- “Seeds and Sovereignty”
To prepare for discussion:
- We recommend having these items handy:
- your copy of the book
- a journal or paper and writing instrument
- a stone or grounding object
- a chalice or candle
- Consider how to make your space comfortable and free of distractions. Maybe that means asking family members for privacy, steeping a cup of tea beforehand, or having a blanket in your lap.
- In order for everyone to have the best experience, we encourage all participants to join the meeting from a device with a keyboard. This allows each of us to fully engage with each other by typing in the chat and seeing other group members.
Until we meet,
Your Facilitators: Cheyenne Herlandstein, Rev. Lauren Levwood, Kim Stein, Dr. Anne-Marie McCartan
P.S. If you’d like more people from your congregation or community to join, here is a link to print a poster about how to sign up.
