UU Ministry for Earth depends on donations in order to empower bold action, partnership, and connections within and beyond Unitarian Universalism. Please give to support this vital ministry!

Matching Fund Campaign

Climate justice can be a powerful force when heartfelt, local groups grow and join together to work for a just and sustainable future for Earth. UU Ministry for Earth has a bold vision and big aspirations:

To empower UUs everywhere to take bold, accountable, faith-grounded action
for environmental justice, for climate justice, for the flourishing of all life.

UUMFE’s goal is to raise $40,000 from individual donors. Thirteen current and former Board members have contributed the first $20,000 in matching funds and will match your gift as a way of encouraging you and your friends to join us in growing our capacity to serve you, connect you and highlight your successes.

Toolkit for Taking Up a Collection

Many Unitarian Universalist congregations have a practice of sharing their Sunday offering with community organizations and groups: some congregations give away their entire offering one Sunday each month; others “split the plate” every Sunday and give half of the offering to a deserving cause.

UUMFE could not do the work that it does today without the support of congregations, many of which take up special collections for UUMFE on or around Earth Day. Congregations that give $500 or more to UUMFE in a given year are celebrated as Honor Congregations in our annual report (all annual reports can be found at the bottom of the Our History page).

Here are some materials to support your congregation in taking up a collection for UUMFE:

T-Shirts and Bandanas

Support UUMFE by purchasing quality, sustainably-sourced t-shirts sporting the UUMFE logo or custom-designed bandanas featuring the logo of UU Young Adults for Climate Justice, a program of UUMFE.
