This is a 1099 contract for three months with an option to extend. The goal is a long-term arrangement.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Hourly rate: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">$25 to $30, based on experience<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Location:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0 Remote<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>About the Organization<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Unitarian Universalist Ministry for Earth is a 501(c)3 liberal religious non-profit organization dedicated to be seedbed for spiritual grounding and education that inspires deep practices of Earth care, justice and flourishing for all. Through worship, storytelling, workshops and chaplaincy, we seek to contribute to a healthy and connected environmental justice movement, within our Unitarian Universalist tradition and beyond. See:<\/span> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.uumfe.org\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">www.uumfe.org<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<p><b>Position Purpose<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Communications Contractor is responsible for:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">With the co-directors and a select set of volunteers, developing a communications strategy including a <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">social media plan<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Executing the strategy and plan<\/span><\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Working with justice partners to coordinate communications<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Creating and sending a monthly newsletter to our 9000 person database<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This includes our own events and reflections, along with communicating with select partners to feature their events<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Creating and sending a mid-month events email to our database<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In addition to newsletters, promoting events including:<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Creating calendar descriptions and Zoom registrations<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Using Canva to create memes<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Updating WordPress website<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Posting on social media<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Creating a monthly worship resource in Canva from content provided by co-director\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Interacting with a graphic designer when necessary<\/span><\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Editing videos<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Measuring effectiveness of all communication by analyzing data<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Requisite Skills and Experience:\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ability to thrive in a highly collaborative, team oriented and remote work environment<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Commitment to principles of justice, equity and compassion<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">An appreciation for the challenges faced by historically marginalized groups<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Warm and friendly presence<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Excellent written and verbal communication<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Strong time and project management skills;
