We also embrace the light of strength and courage. This year, UU Ministry for Earth (UUMFE) partners with the UU Service Committee (UUSC) and UU College of Social Justice (UUCSJ) to bring you worship and stories from partners in Kiribati where climate justice is culture justice and disability justice. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For the interactive part of the service, bring with you:&nbsp; Paper (blank, any size), pencils and erasers, markers, colored pencils, or crayons. Optional: Gel pens, paint, or other art materials for added detail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/document\/d\/1sTgrL9NSGKZ_CBeG6mVP910TVrI3cFHc-SfI6FAMzVw\/edit?tab=t.0\">Order of Service is here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our guest preacher is Rev. Manish Mishra-Marzetti, UUSC Board of Trustees Co-Chair and Senior Minister of the First Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Ann Arbor, Michigan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During the service, we will collect an offering which will be shared between UU Ministry for Earth and UUSC\u2019s partner <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uusc.org\/rising-together-community-resilience-while-facing-the-climate-crisis\/\">Te Toa Matoa in Kiribati.&nbsp;<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/uuministry4earth.app.neoncrm.com\/np\/clients\/uuministry4earth\/donation.jsp?campaign=40&amp;\">You can donate then or now by noting &#8220;Winter Solstice&#8221; in the memo line.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/forms.gle\/fbzDLxK7ZifE8CnLA\">Register for the worship service<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Rev. Mishra-Marzetti is the co-editor of <strong>Seeds of a New Way: Nurturing Authentic &amp; Diverse Religious Leadership<\/strong> (2024), <strong>Conversations with the Sacred: A Collection of Prayers<\/strong> (2020), and the 2018-2019 UUA common read, <strong>Justice on Earth: People of Faith Working at the Intersections of Race, Class, and the Environment.<\/strong> He has served extensively in Unitarian Universalist leadership, including as a member of the Unitarian Universalist Association\u2019s (UUA) Board of Trustees, President of the Diverse and Revolutionary Unitarian Universalist Multicultural Ministries (DRUUMM), Commissioner on the UUA Commission on Appraisal, Secretary of the Board of Starr King School for the Ministry, and as an author and advocate of the 2007 General Assembly resolution confronting gender identity-related discrimination.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Thanks to the Side With Love\u2019s Climate Justice Campaign for financial support of this event.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Recording here.
