Susanna Wu-Pong Calvert

Susanna Wu-Pong Calvert, MAPP, PhD, believes that humans and all of Earth can become our best and highest selves and thrive through healthy and loving relationships.  As Founder and Convener for Mission and Vision at the Foundation for Family and Community Healing, she proposes that climate change intractability is partially because humanity has forgotten how to be in a reciprocal emotional and spiritual relationship with Earth; by healing our relationship with Earth, we holistically support Earth health.  Dr. Calvert brings decades of experience as an educator, leader, blogger, life and leadership coach, program developer, applied positive psychology practitioner, social entrepreneur, and nonprofit organization experience to the UUMFE and to her unique vision to support healing and connection for all.

Edward D. (Ted) Nichols

As a new UUMFE Board member, career educator, social and environmental justice advocate, and proud UU, I'm excited to meet and learn more about UUMFE from everyone involved in this important work. I retired in 2018 following a wonderful career in higher education which included two positions as Campus Dean at colleges in PA and NY and finally as Vice President of Academic Affairs at Pennsylvania Highlands Community College. My experience with strategic planning, staff/program development, community/business partnerships, and fundraising prepare me to make what I trust will be significant contributions to the UUMFE mission.
