“As we dive into 2022 and the climate crisis becomes more dire, the lack of bold action from President Biden to address the climate crisis is completely unacceptable.

The Build Back Fossil Free campaign is organizing a huge letter to Biden for organizations to sign on to, reiterating our demands for bold executive action to keep fossil fuels in the ground and protect communities from the toxic impacts of coal, oil and gas development.

Despite lofty campaign promises, President Biden has failed to tackle the climate crisis with the urgency it demands.

We need a powerful, unified response to Biden’s first year in office that makes it clear where we stand and demands that he change course. This letter is one great opportunity to do just that. Will you add your organization?

This is not just another quick sign-on letter. Our goal is to make this as politically powerful as possible, and gather over 1,000 organizations, groups from across the country and of all shapes and sizes. The letter will be released in the lead up to the State of the Union, accompanied by a suite of communications materials to maximize our reach. The deadline for signature before release is Friday, February 18th.
