THE STORY OF PLASTIC – Documentary Film Screening & Discussion with Diane Wilson and Sharon Lavigne
On May 28th a special online discussion of The Story of Plastic took place with two phenomenal special guests: Diane Wilson (featured in the film; recent winner of the largest Clean Water Act settlement in US history) and Sharon Lavigne (Founder of RISE St James, returning EJPN guest).
This film broadens the scope of the conversation on the social and ecological harms of plastic pollution by shining a light on environmental injustices in every stage of plastic’s so-called “lifecycle” — and offering a vision for how to shift to a just and zero-waste alternative.
This screening & discussion was a session of the Environmental Justice Pracititioners Network webinar series, a joint initiative of UU Ministry for Earth & the UUA Green Sanctuary Program.
