Environmental Justice Practitioners Network (EJPN) webinar on January 23, 4:30 PST / 7:30 EST, had a special guest Gail Forsyth-Vail, talking about engaging your congregation with the 2020 UUA Common Read, An Indigenous Peoples History of the United States by Roxanne Dunbar-Ortiz, with an environmental justice lens. This webinar program discussed the original book as well as the newly released young people’s adaptation by Debbie Reese and Jean Mendoza.

Special guest Gail Forsyth-Vail recently retired from her role as the Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA)’s Adult Programs Director and prior to that was a Director of Religious Education from 1986-2008. Gail wrote the UUA Common Read discussion guide for the Beacon Press publication, An Indigenous Peoples History of the United States by Roxanne Dunbar-Ortiz.
