Environmental Justice Practitioners Network
Tthe Environmental Justice Practitioners Network (EJPN) began a new season.
The program in 2018 had two major themes:
Justice on Earth: People of Faith Working at the Intersections of Race, Class, and Environment
&
Decolonization & Solidarity with Indigenous Land & Water Protectors
How to Join:
While tuning into webinars from home is still enthusiastically welcomed, congregational teams were encouraged to tune into calls together in-person at least once or twice this year.
EJPN also offered covenant group programming focused on these themes, for participation with members of your congregation, or through online EJPN chalice circles. Covenant groups can focus on one or both of the EJPN themes, combining reading, reflection, webinars, and discussions to experience environmental justice learning and embodiment on a deeper level.
Webinars were typically be on the 4th-Thursday of every month, with occasional variations. The first call of the season on August 30th at 7:30 Eastern / 4:30 Pacific, providing introductory information and grounding for this year’s EJPN program.
The first special guest of the season was with Pamela Sparr, a essay author in Justice on Earth, on Wednesday, September 26th at 7:30 Eastern / 4:30 Pacific.
