Are you going to be at the UUA General Assembly (GA) this June 24-28th in Portland, Oregon? UU Young Adults for Climate Justice will be there in flying colors and we hope that you will make a point of attending one of our workshops and/or stopping by our tabling area, which will be alongside the UU Ministry for Earth.

One of our workshops will be live-streamed for virtual GA attendees! It’s “Commit2Respond: Growing Young Adult Leadership for Climate Justice”, taking place Thursday, June 25, 2015, 4:45 PM – 6:00 PM Pacific, room B117 – 119. This year, the UUA is offering a way to register for virtual participation in GA, even to vote as a virtual representative for a delegation. The Virtual GA programs have been expanded to include nine workshops including ours, and so that you can register virtually as an individual and not just as a congregation delegate. Keep your eyes on this page for an updated registration process, which should be published shortly.

The network is also collaborating with other individuals and organizations to offer two additional workshops:

  • “United for Climate Justice: A Young Adult Led Intergenerational Worship”, taking place Saturday, June 27, 2015, 1:15 PM – 2:30 PM Pacific, room C123-124. We invite you, and people of all ages to join us for a unique, interactive and uplifting worship service.
  • “Moving From Capitalism Towards an Ecological Economy”, taking place Thursday June 25, 2015, 3:00 PM – 4:15 PM, room E147-148. Join Aly Tharp (UUYACJ coordinator), Kat Liu (UU Ministry for Earth board member, UU Environmental Justice Collaboratory member, www.wizdUUm.net blogger) and Matthew McHale (UUYACJ organizer, UU Environmental Justice Collaboratory member) for an engaging presentation about the growing movement for economic transformation.

We thank you for your attention and support, and hope to see you there!
